Just 4 more sleeps until our Christmas menu is out! We’re warming up your December with a Sicilian Specialty of ours – a little bit of sunshine! Pachino tomatoes, pine kernels, sultanas and our wonderful violet aubergines served with a chunky casareccia pasta. Yum! Order this as an intermediate course and make the party last even longer!

Christmas Menu – Piatto della Nonna

Christmas is coming! And our December menu is almost here! We’ve got some treats in store, but don’t worry we’ve kept your favourites.

Why not start your Christmas lunch or dinner with the Piatto della Nonna? It’s one of our most popular antipasti dishes and it’s perfect for sharing with your loved ones.

All our best flavours direct from Italy on one plate! Mozzarella di Bufala from Campagnia, Prosciutto di Parma, delicious Italian vegetables, marinated Italian olives, sun-dried Italian tomatoes, crispy fresh rocket leaves and Parmigiano Reggiano, served with some lightly fried calamari, zucchini and pepperoni – Heaven on a piatto!

Slippers for The Scottish Ballet

Our friends at The Scottish Ballet is taking part in the Big Arts Give this December, raising money for dancers’ shoes through the Cinderella Shoe Appeal, and you can help by taking part in Slippers for Slippers week!

From 10am on December 6 until the 11 December, any donation you make to the Cinderella shoe appeal will be doubled if you donate through In the week before, 29 November – 5th December, we are encouraging businesses, community groups and schools to wear their slippers to work or classes and pay a small donation to do so. Scottish Ballet staff will be taking part on Tuesday 30th November – check our website for photos!

Salarola, Bianco del Veneto, Ca’Orologio, 2007, IGT (13.5%)

This lovely blend of Tocai (40%), Moscato (40%), and Riesling (20%) brings a tasty, textured organic white with subtle peach fruit tones along with notes of honeysuckle and caramel. Hailing from the hills of Veneto, this wine pairs perfectly with the Linguine con Pesto e Mezzancoli and Spigola (Scottish sea bass). An excellent value for this exquisite wine.

Montefalco Rosso, Antonelli 2006, DOC (14.5%)

This big, Umbrian full-bodied red is a blend of Sangiovese (70%), Sagrantino (15%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). It has hints of black cherry and plum on the nose followed by aromas of blueberry, vanilla, tobacco, blackcurrant and menthol. Full of body and firm structure, this wine suits our Bresaola, Tagliata (Buccleuch sirloin steak), and Pizza Piccante, to name a few. A steal for red wine lovers!

Don’t worry if you missed lunch, our new dinner menu is just as delicious!

The Autumn harvest has bought us some fantastic ingredients direct from the Milano Markets. Our exclusive delivery includes Italian artichokes, borlotti beans, figs, pears and cima di rape to name but a few. Supporting Italy but complimented by Scotland’s fantastic larder, we use only Scottish-water fish, the best Scottish beef and game and wonderful organic root vegetables from East Lothian.
The dark nights may be getting longer, but our plates will be full of fresh flavours to brighten your palate! Health and happiness to you all!
