“Fabulous conversion by Victor and Carina Contini of a lofty, pillared Georgian room towards the west end of Edinburgh’s better boulevard into the classiest restaurant on the street and the most stylish joint in town. Passion for food and good service always evident; and they are ubiquitous (although they also run The Scottish Restaurant in Princes St Gardens). Bar and central pizza oven, unexpected combos in a straightforward, oft-changing menu. Great people-watching strip of tabes on the street. 7.30am till LO 10pm (11pm Fri/Sat), 11am-9pm Sun. Bar open late.”

Just in time for Autumn, we’ve got not one by two new menus for you! Join us for Lunch or Dinner and enjoy fresh Scottish ingredients with authentic Italian flavours at centotre

Fresh, Simple, Italian. The very best ingredients simply prepared, served fresh and best enjoyed with family and friends. We take fresh local ingredients from our Scottish larder and add authentic Italian flavours delivered direct from the Milano markets weekly, exclusively for us.

From Scotland this month we’ve sourced new season wood pigeon from Burnside Farm in the Tweed Valley, near Kelso. Burnside is family run farm which has been in the Rutherford family since the 12th century! We’re proud to support a wide range of Scottish suppliers, including Peelham Farm in Foulden for our organic veal, Inverurie Gold for our sirloin steak and Carroll’s Heritage in The Borders for our potatoes.

From Italy we receive pallets of our fresh vegetables, several varieties of tomatoes, Mozzarella di Bufala and Burrata. Our Mozzarella di Bufala comes direct from Mondragone in Campagna, it’s made on a Thursday, delivered to Milan on the Friday and is with us on the Monday. You can’t get any fresher than this. Our Burrata comes on the same route direct from Lecce in Puglia.

Buying direct from both our Scottish and Italian suppliers means we cut out the middle men and the warehouses, and ensures we serve only the freshest produce. It’s also a guaranteed investment in the farms and in their people. These choices are key and have always been at the heart of our love of good food. We hope you can taste all the hard work, enthusiasm and commitment invested in all our lovely food. Buon appetito!

Watermelon Martini – June Cocktail!!

It’s back!! Juicy, delicious and perfect for a drink in the sun or an evening treat with friends!

We get our fresh watermelon delivered direct from Milano, full of the flavours of Italian summer sunshine. We mix it with your choice of either Finlandia Vodka or Tanqueray Gin and add a splash of Martini Dry!

And, join us from 3pm until 6pm every Sunday to Friday for our famous Aperitivo Hour and enjoy free chips and olives with your cocktail!

New Menu for Maggio!

It’s a little early, but we just can’t wait! Our new May menu is out today!

We’ve added new season asparagus, brought back our special Spigola (Sea bass) by special request and we are pleased to introduce our new selection of extra virgin olive oils, sourced direct from Italy. Victor has carefully chosen these oils from a few of his favourite vineyards where we also source our wines. Or new wine list will also be out soon – watch this space!

We were honoured to have our friends, Stefano & Francesca Spagnol over from Italy. They, along with Stefano’s brother Franco are the producers of the Prosecco that we serve in Centotre & Zanzero.

We are also happy to say that we are the only establishment currently in the UK to stock their new Spagnol Prosecco.

Please come in and join us for a glass! We serve our Posecco in the form of many different cocktails, fresh fruit Bellini’s or as is from the bottle.
